Refractory Material Testing

Refractory Materials Testing

Engineering Materials capable of withstanding high temperature such as furnace lining are generally classified as the refractory materials. They are most commonly inorganic in nature. Their general composition is mixture of stable minerals, different additives and binder phase. These materials are in general having excellent resistance to abrasion even at very high temperatures. These materials have tendency to withstand high temperature in furnaces and high temperature applications. Refractory materials are comprises of oxides, nitrides, and carbides of metals and non-metals.

TThe scope of Refractory Materials Testing in PMT Labs covers many types of materials such as:

  • Silica Sand
  • Fire Clay
  • Bentonite
  • Acidic Lining
  • Metal Powder
  • Clays
  • Refractory Bricks

PMT Labs has a a wide variety of testing facilities for Refractory Materials.
